EXACTBENCH / LEGAL
Privacy notice
What we collect, why we use it, and how you stay in control.
DRAFT REVISION / 27 SEPTEMBER 2026
Draft for launch review. Enquiry retention and the final website settings must be confirmed before publication.
01 / Who is responsible
Exactbench is operated by Niall Dunne, a sole trader based in Sweden. Niall Dunne is responsible for personal data used to run the website and manage business enquiries.
This notice covers the marketing website and enquiries about Exactbench. Processing of documents and user activity within a customer pilot also needs the privacy information and data-processing terms agreed for that pilot. The engineering calculator performs its calculations in your browser. Its code does not send entered values or calculated results to Exactbench or to the product’s document-processing services. Loading the calculator page still involves requests to its hosting provider. If you choose to email us, the information you include is handled as an enquiry.
02 / When you visit the website
Framer provides the website platform and hosting. Loading a web page involves technical information such as a network address and browser information being handled to deliver and secure the page.
Framer describes its built-in website analytics as using no cookies or persistent identifiers. That statement concerns Framer’s built-in analytics, not every possible site integration. The final inventory of scripts, embeds and browser storage must be checked before publication. Any additional processing must be described here, with appropriate consent obtained before nonessential storage or access is activated.
03 / When you contact us
The demo request form asks for your name and email address. We use these details to respond to your request and arrange a demonstration.
You do not need to upload a manual or include sensitive personal information in an initial enquiry. Providing contact details is voluntary; without a working reply address, we may be unable to respond.
A demo enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing mailing list. Any future optional marketing subscription will have its own clear choice and withdrawal method.
04 / Why we use personal data
Our legitimate interests are responding to relevant business enquiries and operating a secure, reliable website. Where an individual asks us to take steps towards a contract with them, those steps may instead rely on the pre-contractual basis. A company employee’s enquiry is not automatically treated as a contract with that individual.
We may retain information where a legal obligation requires it. Any optional processing based on consent will explain the purpose and how to withdraw that consent. We do not use this enquiry flow to make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
05 / Service providers and transfers
Framer provides website hosting and the demo request form. Form submissions are configured for delivery to Niall.dunne@exactbench.com, hosted by Google. The applicable account settings, retention and transfer arrangements still need verification.
The product’s document-processing providers are listed separately. Visiting this marketing page does not upload an equipment manual to the product. Before customer documents are processed, the applicable providers, account regions and transfer safeguards must be confirmed for that pilot.
Providers may process information outside the EEA. Applicable agreements and safeguards depend on the provider and configuration. This draft does not promise EU-only processing.
06 / How long information is kept
Enquiry information should be kept only while needed to respond, manage an active discussion, or meet an applicable legal requirement. The operational retention schedule for the chosen mailbox, form service and hosting logs is still being confirmed before collection starts.
Customer-document retention, export and deletion arrangements belong in the pilot agreement and processing instructions. A fixed deletion deadline or backup-removal period is not promised by this website draft.
07 / Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where processing relies on it.
For privacy requests, email Niall.dunne@exactbench.com. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. GDPR requests are normally answered within one month; permitted extensions must be explained within that first month.
You can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, IMY, or another competent supervisory authority. You do not have to contact us first.
08 / Updates and contact
We will update this notice when the website’s processing changes and show the revision date. Before the site launches, the items marked for verification will be checked.
